Delivery & Returns

GENERAL

 

Orders placed on the web site are despatched as soon as possible, using the method selected in the order cart. We use Royal Mail's Recorded first class postal service or International Standard Air Mail service for small packages and DPD for most of our domestic and the majority of our European parcels.

Oversized parcels, either domestic or overseas will be quoted using an online broker.


These options provide our customers with a choice of the best services available. 

Shipping charges for oversize parcels may require a quote.


If you have any special delivery requirements, please indicate in the Special Instructions box. 

Once your order is shipped, we will email confirmation to you.

 

Charges (including packaging & handling) are calculated on the weight and size of the consignment and the desired shipping method. 

The minimum postage charge reflects our cost of processing, picking, packing and despatching your order and may sometimes appear disproportionate with an order of low value. We, therefore, recommend you add some other items to your order to make the shipping more cost effective. 

 

Please note that as a security measure, your first order with us must be delivered to the credit card holders registered address.

 

When you sign for a parcel being delivered, please inspect it carefully. If it has suffered in transit, you can mark the delivery note 'Parcel Damaged', before signing, or even refuse delivery in serious cases. Some deliveries involve more than one parcel - please check that all have been received. 

We must be advised within 24 hours of delivery of any shortages or damaged goods.

 

If your parcel does not arrive, we have to establish our claim with the carriers concerned before we can send a replacement consignment. This can sometimes be a lengthy process, and if your part is needed urgently, a second order can be paid for to save time. We refund one of your orders as soon as the carriers clear our claim. Errors & Omissions accepted.

 

UK 

We aim to despatch all UK orders within 48hrs, subject to stock availability and payment being received.

The majority of UK orders are delivered within 3-5 working days. Certain off-shore, remote, Scottish Highland and Northern Ireland destinations may take longer. Bulky and very heavy items may also take longer. You can also choose to have your order sent to an alternative address after your first order, such as your workshop or garage. All orders sent by the carrier or Royal Mail First Class Recorded Delivery / DPD will require a signature on delivery. Please wait a full 7 working days for your order to arrive. 

 

E.U

 

We aim to despatch all overseas orders within 72hrs, subject to stock availability and payment being received.

 

We utilise Royal Mail International Standard Air Mail service for small packages and DPD, for parcel delivery service by road to most European destinations. Oversized items over 10kg and/or 1m in length will require a quote.

 

REST OF THE WORLD

 

We aim to despatch all overseas orders within 72hrs, subject to stock availability and payment being received.

 

We utilise Royal Mail International Standard Air Mail service for small packages. Items over 1kg and/or 1m will require a quote.

RETURNS POLICY



 

GOODS NOT REQUIRED OR INCORRECTLY ORDERED

 

If you wish to return an item please email me at lroptionalequipment@gmail.com within 14 days of receiving the item. Goods must be returned at your expense, in the original unmarked packaging. They must be in the same new and unused condition as originally sold, adequately packed to avoid damage in transit. It is suggested that goods are sent registered post or insured with the courier as damaged goods cannot be refunded.

Upon satisfactory inspection, the full value of the goods will be refunded to the payment method used at the point of sale.

LR Optional Equipment reserves the right to refuse unwanted goods outside the 14 day period.

DAMAGED GOODS

 We must be advised of any damaged goods within 24 hours of delivery to comply with the couriers’ policies. Please send photos of the damaged packaging and goods to lroptionalequipment@gmail.com to help with the process.

FAULTY OR DEFECTIVE GOODS

If you feel an item in faulty or defective please send details to lroptionalequipment@gmail.com with as much detail as possible. At our discretion a refund or replacement will be issued on the receipt of the item in question. Notification of faulty or defective goods must be given within 30 days of receiving the item.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Credit card & debit card companies process returns less quickly than sales and may take several days to appear on your statement.
